“We were the victims of a real ambush.
While we were documenting the current situation of San Giovanni Bosco, freed from squatters thanks to our battles, we were suddenly attacked. They threw Borrelli to the ground, filling him with punches and kicks in the face and stomach.
As can also be seen from the videos, one of the attackers grabbed Borrelli's head and tried to break his neck to kill him, a chilling scene. A "lady" also explicitly mentioned the intention to kill him.
They then violently hit me and a tall activist present. Only the intervention of the security guards prevented the worst.
One of them, having managed to escape, got into his car and then came back and attacked me while I was filming. An attack of unheard-of violence, like the true cowards they are.
They even destroyed our cell phones,” said Gianpaolo Massaroli, a victim of the ambush.
“I want to thank Prefect Valentini who immediately contacted me after the incident,” said Councilor Borrelli.
But above all I want to say thank you to the security guards who intervened to stop the attackers. Without their intervention I don't know if I would have gotten away with "only" a fracture of the nasal bones and a head trauma.
