Blas Roca Rey at the Teatro Augusteo in Salerno in “Vincent Van Gogh, letters to Theo”, Tuesday 15 September at 21 pm
only date in Campania
UA fantastic, tender and desperate world emerges from the many letters that Vincent Van Gogh wrote to his beloved brother Theo, a gallery owner who took care of him throughout his life.
A crazy, almost untamable vital energy. The awareness, sometimes heartbreaking, of being different from others. In everything. In living, in human relationships but above all in art. The use of colors, laboriously achieved in years and years of studies and sketches. The will, stubborn, obstinate, to reinvent reality, to give it back to us through the fantastic lens of his eyes. Not resigning himself to the total indifference of the world towards his paintings, starting again a thousand and a thousand times again towards a future that he hoped, sooner or later, would notice him. Despite the poverty, the hardship, the lack of food. And finally, his slow and inexorable descent into madness, which dragged him in his last years to small mental asylums in the country where, often voluntarily, he took refuge.
A life. An artist. His wonderful fireworks that, little by little, burned him alive.
All this is the show “Vincent Van Gogh, letters to Theo” by Blas Roca Rey, scheduled for September 15 at 21 pm at the Teatro Augusteo in Salerno, exclusively for Campania. Show performed by the same actor who will be accompanied by maestro Luciano Tristaino, on flutes.
“The actor communicates all this with a vibrant and passionate voice that moves the audience to admiration and applause in an unforgettable evening that will remain imprinted in our hearts for a long time”.
