Suarez Case: Investigative Summit to Reschedule Inquiry
An investigative summit at the beginning of next week will "reschedule in compliance with investigative secrecy" the activity coordinated by the Perugia prosecutor's office to shed light on the Italian language proficiency exam taken by Luis Suarez at the University for Foreigners of Perugia. As ordered by prosecutor Raffaele Cantone, today the activity was stopped after what were considered violations of investigative secrecy.
Chief Prosecutor Cantone has been in contact with the deputies in charge of the case, to whom he reiterated his utmost trust and that his intervention yesterday had the “sole objective” of protecting their work. After the summit scheduled for the beginning of the week, the investigation will therefore resume to clarify every aspect of what happened.
