Bgood news for motorists as the reform of the Highway Code which is about to be examined in the Chamber, eliminates the fine for those who do not appear within the deadline established in the police offices to show driving license and registration forgotten at home when stopped for a check.
In fact, the current legislation provides for a administrative sanction fine for anyone who, without a justified reason, does not comply with the invitation to appear at the offices of the authority to provide information or to exhibit documents for the purpose of ascertaining a violation.
With the reform, however, there is no fine more in the event that there has been a simultaneous electronic verification of the existence and validity of the documents not shown by the driver.
Furthermore, in the text arriving in the Chamber of Montecitorio there are also other novelties; with the new Code the inspection bodies will be obliged, in the event of violation of the parking ban, to leave a warning of the violation on the car's windshield, which will allow the driver to pay the fine in a reduced form without the notification costs.
News also for driving license points, the communication of any curtailment will no longer be mandatory under two conditions: if the owner of the car is a natural person and was driving his vehicle when the violation was committed and if the communication was made via certified email or another qualified electronic delivery service.
And the driver will also have to pay a fine if he transports an adult who is not wearing a security belt.
Are excluded from the obligation drivers of vehicles used for public transport or for rental with driver who, however, must remind passengers of the obligation to fasten their seat belts.
For the parking is instead evaluated the possibility of granting to pregnant women or with children on board under the age of two years a special permit for parking.
Vehicles equipped with disabled parking permit, however, will be able to park for free in paid spaces.
And finally children up to 12 years old will have to wear the bicycle helmet, just as the obligation to wear helmets remains for passengers of motorcycle. In case of non-use, the driver will be responsible.
