Acerra. The Carabinieri arrest violent husband. A weapon was also seized.
The Carabinieri of the Acerra station, together with those of the radiomobile section of the Castello di Cisterna company, arrested a 57-year-old local man already known to the police for personal injury, mistreatment in the family and possession of an illegal weapon.
Alerted by 112, the Carabinieri reached the house that the man shares with his wife, finding her in tears and swollen.
According to the reconstruction, the 57-year-old had attacked the woman during an argument that broke out over trivial reasons. It was not the first time: in recent months the man had already adopted harassing behaviors towards his wife. Violence never reported.
During the house search, the military found a Beretta mod. 34 cal. 7,65 with the serial number erased and 10 rounds of ammunition and a 23cm butterfly knife.
The man was arrested and taken to Poggioreale prison.
The victim – taken to the emergency room of the Villa dei Fiori clinic – was diagnosed with injuries that will heal in 5 days.
