Flegrea Area: Carabinieri Task Force in Pozzuoli and surrounding municipalities.
Weekend of checks for the Carabinieri of the Pozzuoli company who - as part of the services arranged by the provincial command of Naples - carried out several checks and combed the streets of the Phlegraean area. The objective of the military of the Arma is the control of the territory, compliance with the anti-covid regulations and the fight against the phenomenon of illegal transportation of people.
342 people identified. 9 commercial establishments inspected and 179 vehicles – including cars and motorcycles – checked.
During the operations, the Carabinieri fined 4 illegal parking attendants present in the nightlife areas and 12 citizens who were not wearing the surgical mask required by recent provisions aimed at combating the epidemiological phenomenon.
In Licola, instead, 2 people were reported because they were caught driving without ever having obtained a license with repeat offenders in the two-year period. Their cars were seized because they were used for the illegal transportation of people. Checks on the highway code: 38 fines issued for a total amount of 28 thousand euros. Various conducts were contested: from the lack of insurance coverage to driving a vehicle already subject to administrative seizure through not using seat belts.
There were more contested fines than vehicles checked: in fact, 32 cars were stopped by the Carabinieri.
