Increase in infections, the Government is studying how to strengthen smart working and local closures.

In the next few days, Boccia will once again convene the control room with the Regions to take stock of the situation and evaluate possible moves with the governors. It is obvious that, as the president of the Conference of the Regions Stefano Bonaccini also says, in a situation like the current one there is no room for an institutional clash between Rome and the territories. "The government and the Regions must necessarily work together, I see no other way". In these hours, other hypotheses are making their way in the government, always with a view to avoiding the closure of entire sectors and interrupting work activities but at the same time reducing the possibility of contagion. The first is to strengthen smart working by ensuring that all those who can work remotely avoid reaching offices and workplaces. "We must do everything - government sources repeat - not only to limit contact between people but also circulation".

And in this perspective, limitations on local public transport could also be considered. Bonaccini again: "if the contagion increases and we find more worrying situations, we will have to be ready for possible greater restrictions". The Dpcm could also include a stop to mass events. The CTS requested it and the monitoring cabin of the Ministry of Health reiterated it in the weekly bulletin. "It is essential to avoid events and initiatives that risk aggregation in public and private places". This means limitations for outdoor shows, sporting events, fairs, events that involve thousands of people but also private parties and ceremonies. A possible reduction in the opening hours of venues is still being discussed, as is a remodulation of the prescriptions for sporting activities, starting with contact sports. The only certainty is what Minister Boccia repeats. "Maximum rigor" is needed. And therefore, "if necessary, we will tighten the screws even more, stopping at the necessary things: school, work, hospitals".
