Coronavirus, slight decrease in the number of new cases registered in the last 24 hours in Italy: 5.456. Yesterday there were 5.724.
The total since the beginning of the pandemic is now 354.950. This was reported by the Ministry of Health. The data reported by the Ministry of Health and the Civil Protection indicate that there are 420 patients in intensive care. The total number of discharged/recovered, to date, is 239.709 (+1.184), while the current positive cases are 79.075. To date, there are 4.519 hospitalized with symptoms, of these 420 are in intensive care, while 74.136 people are in home isolation. Lombardy is confirmed as the region where, in the last 24 hours, the highest number of new cases was recorded (1.032), followed by Campania (633), Tuscany (517), Veneto (438), Piedmont (409) and Liguria (386).
Decline in the number of swabs carried out in Italy in the last 24 hours: 104.658, with a decrease of almost 30 thousand compared to yesterday, when the record of 133.084 was reached. This was reported by the Ministry of Health. The total number of swabs carried out rises to 12.564.713.
