Coronavirus, Roma's Diawara tests positive: Benevento misses
“This morning I took the swab test on my return from the national team, unfortunately I tested positive for coronavirus,” announced Amadou Diawara, Roma midfielder, who was busy with Guinea these days, on Instagram. He then continued: “I want to reassure all the people who know me, luckily I feel fine, but obviously I will have to respect the quarantine period. I hope to be able to return to the coach's disposal as soon as possible.” Amadou Diawara tested positive for Covid-19 after returning to Rome from his commitment with his national team. Last Monday (5 October) he left Trigoria negative for the virus and he was also negative when he arrived at the retreat. Before the match against Cape Verde (won 2-1), the Guinean team took other tests during which five of Amadou's teammates tested positive, while the Giallorossi midfielder still tested negative. Then, this morning he returned to the capital and took the rapid test carried out at the Campus Biomedico which instead recorded Diawara testing positive for coronavirus. The footballer is now in isolation.
