Covid-19: Nocera's nightlife crackdown, park closures under consideration
Respect for the rules, with the possible closure of parks and villas: this is what the mayor of Nocera Superiore, Giovanni Maria Cuofano, is asking for in the aftermath of the positive Covid-19 swab test recorded in the city for two citizens, already placed in isolation and kept under close observation. After a briefing with the Local Police Command, the mayor has arranged specific control services throughout the territory, both outdoors and in commercial establishments, to verify the use of masks and avoid the risk of gatherings.
"As happened during the most difficult moment of the lockdown, even now we must resist to contain the spread of the virus. Everyone must do their part, respecting the rules and adopting every protection and prevention measure. We expect a great demonstration of maturity from the community as happened during the most acute phase of the contagion if we want to avoid further drastic measures.
As for the closure of public parks and villas, we will evaluate, following the checks started, whether it will be necessary or not, but this decision will depend on the citizens' sense of responsibility"
