Salerno. Covid brings schools to their knees, between positive swabs, hundreds of students in quarantine, sanitizations, contacts that are difficult to reconstruct. In Sarno, a real outbreak is born in an elementary school: cases and infected children increase, the network of contacts grows and so the Masseria della Corte elementary school closes. Yesterday, 6 more swabs arrived that were positive and refer to four children and two teachers. An outbreak that led the mayor, Giuseppe Canfora, to issue an ordinance in the evening to suspend activities for the entire institute "considering that the ASL has communicated the positivity of six other cases and has recommended the suspension of the educational activities of the institute as an outbreak of a transmissible infectious disease in order to contain the contagion and allow further investigations into direct contacts of the infected". A network of contacts that has expanded in a few days and risks expanding further because we are waiting for further results and external relations are also being verified, also linked to after-school activities.
