Covid: Teacher Tests Positive, Institute Closes in Sannio
Another school closed due to Covid in Sannio. It is the 'Lombardi' higher education institute in Airola. The measure came following the positive finding of a teacher at the institute. For this reason, the mayor of Airola, Michele Napoletano, ordered the suspension of teaching in all buildings for the days of October 13 and 14. The sanitization of the premises began in the afternoon. The number of coronavirus infections in Sannio has risen to 232, two more than yesterday, with one death at the "San Pio" hospital in Benevento: it is an eighty-year-old from the province of Naples. It is the fifth victim of the coronavirus due to the second wave of the pandemic. And precisely following the increase in infections, the prefect of Benevento Cappetta has once again convened the Aid Coordination Center via video conference to monitor the epidemiological progress of coronavirus in the area. At the end of the meeting, the prefect ordered the sending of a note to the ASL and the Territorial Areas so that the necessary checks in authorized nursing homes be intensified regarding compliance with the provisions dictated for the containment of the spread of Covid-19, considering the extreme vulnerability of the guests and the exposure of the operators, inviting those responsible to make the necessary contacts with the competent Health Authority for the programming of monitoring and for the necessary technical support.
