"Two years ago we filed a complaint against unknown persons for the pollution of the Fosso Imperatore canal, one of the main ones of the Sarno. A few days ago we received the answer: thanks to the complaint, the Carabinieri of the NOE of Salerno started investigations and identified possible polluters, thus allowing the judicial authorities to start procedures", thus the M5S senator Virginia La Mura wrote in a note on the consequences of the complaint she filed with her parliamentary colleagues Luisa Angrisani, Carmen Di Lauro and Virginia Villani.
"It is an important sign - continues La Mura - that gives hope to all citizens and shows how reporting is fundamental to give impetus to investigations and the identification of those who pollute our territories. With the complaint that we filed, everyone did their part: in addition to us parliamentarians, municipalities, local authorities, associations and citizens' committees also reported against unknown persons. Being an active part in defense of everyone and against those who pollute is fundamental, let's not give up!".
