Chaia and Mergellina Funiculars, Service Managers Missing Due to Parental Leave
“This morning the Mergellina funicular was closed, in the afternoon it will be the turn of the Chiaia one. In fact, two heads of service are missing due to parental leave and no one wanted to replace them under extraordinary conditions (it is optional). We are witnessing yet another disgrace in Neapolitan transport. For days now, due to a boom in employees on sick leave, the funiculars have worked intermittently, causing major inconvenience to citizens, and now this too. It is absurd, there is no sense of responsibility. And it is equally absurd, as reported in the press, that out of the 22 heads of service planned there are only 11.
