The Carabinieri of the Operational and Radiomobile Nucleus of Ischia have reported a 32-year-old of Venezuelan origins for theft. The man – at night and with an electric bike – entered a very central hotel in Ischia, closed for a few days for the summer season that has just ended.
LThe man ransacked the administrative offices and stole a tablet, had breakfast in the bar room, munching on some snacks, and then headed to the only open room in the hotel, number 118. He stole the clothes the owner kept inside, put them on, and abandoned his own.
The owner reached the hotel and when he noticed the door open he became suspicious. The noises coming from the upper floor dispelled any doubts: he alerted 112 and asked for the intervention of the Carabinieri. The military personnel - who arrived shortly after - found the 32-year-old inside the room, still fixing his trousers.
During the operations, the Carabinieri found that the electric bike with which the 32-year-old had entered the hotel had been stolen the previous day in the center of Ischia. All the stolen goods were returned to their rightful owners.
