“La stagione del fango”, the sixth novel by Antonio Fusco, Thursday 15 October at 18.00 at the Circolo Nautico Posillipo
Thursday 15 October, starting at 18 pm, at the Circolo Posillipo, the Dies Artis Association presents its latest book, La stagione del fango, by Antonio Fusco, published by Giunti.
Antonio Fusco's latest literary work is partly set in Naples, the city where the author was educated, before wandering around Italy for work and landing in Tuscany in 2000.
Commissioner Casabona, the protagonist of Antonio Fusco's crime novels, will have to face a descent into Hell that will take him right to the capital of Naples, where he will try to save himself and his honor as a policeman.
With Fusco, on Thursday 15 October, the journalist Luigi Vicinanza will dialogue, after the introduction by Enrico Deuringer and the greetings by the President of the Rossoverde Association Enzo Semeraro and the Advisor for cultural events Filippo Smaldone. The readings will be entrusted to Sergio Savastano and the musical accompaniment to Beniamino Di Lorenzo.
The Circolo Nautico Posillipo and the Dies Artis Association will therefore give life to a cultural event that represents an opportunity to get to know Fusco and his writing but also a way to bring the author back to his city, where he was born and also worked, and where he has many devoted readers.
“Antonio Fusco once again gives us an exciting book, a gripping and engaging noir – explains Rosa Carillo Ambrosio, President of Dies Artis: – and thanks to his dry and incisive writing, he leads us to discover the darkest routes of the human soul. This time there is a twist: Casabona is himself the victim of plots and intrigues… in a crescendo of suspense that will please many, not just crime fiction fans!”
Antonio Fusco, born in 1964 in Naples, is a State Police officer and forensic criminologist. Since 2000 he has lived in Tuscany, where he deals with judicial police investigations and currently holds the role of head of the Pistoia mobile squad.
As a writer he has won various awards including the Mariano Romiti Prize, the Tuscan Writer Prize and the Garfagnana in Giallo Prize. Many of his works have been translated abroad.
