In Naples Central Station and the surrounding areas, particular attention has been paid to the phenomenon of illegal commercial activity.
The agents of the Naples Railway Police, with targeted stakeout services and viewing the images of the video surveillance system, have ascertained that some individuals, in the evening and night hours, had tried their hand at the lucrative "profession" of illegal taxi driver, some going as far as offering the service even inside the railway station, waiting for "customers" near the tracks. For 3 taxi drivers, heavy sanctions were imposed: withdrawal of the license for subsequent suspension from 4 to 12 months, withdrawal of the vehicle registration document and seizure of the vehicle for confiscation purposes, € 1816,00 administrative fine.
During the above-mentioned activities, street vendors who usually carry out illegal trade in railway stations and on board trains were also checked and fined.
