Carabinieri checks from the Naples Center company, as part of a service ordered by the Provincial Command of Naples. The military's sights are set on the nightlife in the heart of the city, between the Spanish Quarters, Chiaia Piazza Trieste and Trento and Piazza Plebiscito.
Hundreds of people were checked, 11 were fined for not wearing a mask. 7 of them were under 25. Only 1 foreigner - a German tourist - among those fined.
Among those fined, the most frequent excuses were “it makes me sweat”, “I can’t breathe” and “I thought I had it in my pocket…”.
Intense control activity at commercial establishments, bars, pubs and restaurants in the area to verify compliance with the requirements imposed by the recent anti-contagion legislation. Traders have been sensitized to respect social distancing and the correct application of government decrees.
