There are three positive cases of coivid19 in the Ascalesi seminary in Naples, in Capodimonte.
The news, anticipated by the newspaper Il Mattino, was confirmed by the seminary's leaders who explain how a young man who passed through the Seminary tested positive for Covid19 and the entire Community was placed in preventive quarantine, waiting to carry out the swab in agreement with the ASL. "Promptly - the seminary's leaders state in a note - the swabs were carried out on the seminarians and service personnel on Saturday 10 October, thanks to the availability of the ASL Napoli 1 in the person of the General Director Ciro Verdoliva and the Health Director of District 28 Beniamino Picciano. Yesterday we received the results: out of 72 swabs carried out, 69 were negative and 3 were positive who were prudentially isolated at the first symptoms and who do not present any symptoms".
The seminary explains that they will continue to "observe all the provisions as per protocol, respecting the fiduciary quarantine in a safe place, following the prescribed medical health indications" and they thank "our pastor, Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe, because from the very beginning he has shown closeness, care and attention to all the material and spiritual needs of the Seminary Community and all those who have been close to us with prayer and affection. Certain that the Lord transforms every occasion into an event of grace, we will continue to pray for all humanity so that it wins the battle against the pandemic".
