In Ottaviano, schools and the Municipality find a shared path to address the health emergency and manage both suspected and confirmed cases of covid – 19 in the best possible way.
È as emerges from a meeting that the mayor Luca Capasso, the councilor for school policies Virginia Nappo and the head of the school office held with all the school directors of the Vesuvian town, both of the comprehensive and high schools. It was agreed, in fact, to commit to ensuring maximum transparency and timeliness in the communication of infections and in the preparation of sanitization, to avoid controversy and misunderstandings as much as possible.
Furthermore, the Municipality and schools have agreed that, in the event of direct contact with a positive student, the entire class will go into “dad” (distance learning) until the swab is found. According to the current protocol, in fact, a class is required to go into “dad” only after a student or teacher tests positive and not in the event of direct contact with a positive student (for example, a parent or a cohabiting relative).
"We have taken a significant step forward in coordinating actions and sharing decision-making processes. We are aware that there is a lot of work to do and that the emergency we are experiencing is terrible, however we believe that remaining united is fundamental. We sincerely thank the school principals for their availability and attention", explain Mayor Luca Capasso and Councilor for School Policies Virginia Nappo.
