Drug trafficking in the Salerno area: the 'crack lady' arrested in Scafati.
The finance police of the Provincial Command of Salerno, by order of the investigating judge of Nocera Inferiore, have executed a precautionary measure against 3 repeat offenders, investigated for the crimes of possession and trafficking of narcotics. The intervention of the Guardia di Finanza of the Scafati company was triggered after a year of investigations coordinated by the Nocera Prosecutor's Office which allowed to shed light on the criminal group, at the head of which was a woman who, with the collaboration of the other two suspects, managed the drug dealing in various municipalities of the Agro nocerino-sarnese. Known in the environment as "the crack lady", as found by the investigators during the telephone interceptions, the woman gave precise instructions to the two trusted "lieutenants", in charge of managing suppliers and customers, coordinating from above the activities and movements of the drug dealers under her control.
The drug delivery took place at the home of the woman or the consumers themselves after a telephone “reservation”, especially during the lockdown period, when the pushers, in case of a police check, pretended to go to the pharmacy or supermarket, sometimes accompanied by minors, certain that they would not arouse suspicion. The woman and the two collaborators were notified of a ban on residing in the province of Salerno. In addition, since all three were recipients of the citizen's income, the suspension of the benefit was also ordered against them, with a simultaneous notification to the competent INPS office for the recovery of the sums paid.
