The cashback plan presented by the Government will be active starting from December 8th and will allow you to obtain refunds for Christmas purchases
Wired.it has published an article explaining how to get refunds for Christmas purchases: in fact, in the press conference on December 3 to present the anti-Covid-19 measures planned for the Christmas period, Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte also announced the official launch of the Cashback Plan starting from December 8. The first initiative will be the Christmas extra-cashback, which gives the right to a 10% refund, and up to 150 euros, on at least 10 transactions made in stores with traceable payment methods during this month.
To participate in the cashback program, it has been confirmed that it is mandatory to download and install the Io app on your smartphone, which the PagoPa platform updated in recent days to resolve some hitches related to uploading payment methods, and which can be accessed via Spid, the public digital identity system, or with an electronic identity card (Cie).

How to request Spid for cashback
For those who have not already done so to access other services, therefore, the first step to take will be to request Spid credentials. To obtain the Spid code, you need to have a valid identity document, your health card with your tax code data, an email and a mobile number. By going to the site spid.gov.it you will have to choose one of the nine identity providers that have signed up to issue and manage your digital identity.
At this point, you will need to register by entering the requested personal data, create your personal SPID credentials to access the services, and complete the request using one of the possible identification methods provided by the providers.
