The “Live from Everywhere” Finals of the 11th edition of the Music Against the Mafia Award will take place on Sunday 20 December from 16:00.
You can live the experience in streaming by connecting to the Facebook page musicacontrolemafieofficial and a network of partners and supporters.
The Award reaches the Live Phases which this year will be held between virtual and real, in the mode that is increasingly becoming the stylistic hallmark of the organization.
The artistic direction transformed the difficulties into new incentives that led to the reworking of the event in a new web-TV format, hosted by Le Iene correspondent Ismaele La Vardera.
The event will be held in the heart of Cosenza's ancient city, at the Teatro Comunale Alfonso Rendano, Calabria's only traditional theater with a prestigious history that has endured through time, leaving an indelible mark on the region's cultural fabric.
"Regardless of the health emergency," says President Gennaro de Rosa, "this edition marks a shift in the event's journey, both present and future. Everything progresses, and the current period has only accelerated the transformation of a concept that has always proven capable of renewing itself since its inception. However, we have never lost sight of our primary goal, which is to spread good ideas and best practices while promoting young musical talent. The entire world of art and culture is experiencing one of the most challenging times in its history since the Second World War," continues de Rosa. "The artists who make their living from live club performances are facing the harshest consequences. This is precisely why we decided to focus all our attention on them in the final."
The guests of this eleventh edition are many and each will bring their own experience starting from the host Ismaele La Vardera of Le Iene; which confirms a collaboration now consolidated.

A key moment in the final stages will be shared with Don Luigi Ciotti, founder and president of Libera (Associations, names and numbers against the mafia), and honorary president of "Music against the mafia." Ciotti believes that fostering ethical, social, and cultural change is essential to eradicate mafia phenomena and all forms of injustice, illegality, and corruption.
The judges and guests are renowned national artists who have become a point of reference for many young musicians: Gianni Maroccolo, producer and bassist for Litfiba and CSI; singer-songwriter Dario Brunori of the eponymous label Brunori SAS; and Erica Mou and Gabriella Martinelli, among the most exciting singer-songwriters on the Italian scene.
The live stream on Sunday, December 20th, will be available not only on the official Musica contro le mafie Facebook page, but also via cross-posting on the social media platforms of the 11th edition's partners—from Associazione Libera to Casa Sanremo, Tuttorock, and Rockit—to build a network of over 1 million followers. The initiative also enjoys the support of Radio Popolare Network.
The 10 competing finalists—selected from over 700 entries—will be evaluated by the "on-stream judges" in the studio, as well as voted on by a social media panel, an internal artistic committee within the association, and a key "Generation Z Jury," a completely new panel that will provide additional critical perspective, being comprised of very young musicians who are already well-established artists. The panel is composed of: Giovanna Camastra (Sanremo Young semi-finalist), Noemi Bruno (Mia Martini Critics' Award, Musicultura finalist), Bianca Provenzano (All Together Now finalist, Next Generation 2019), and Giulia Aloia (Gianni Ravera Award winner, working in the US with Royal Caribbean as a Broadway performer and lead vocalist since 2019).
