Two 14-year-olds run away from home in Como, 'no more lockdown'. Found by the Carabinieri after 24 hours on the go
Exasperated by the lockdown, two 14-year-old girls from Como, friends and schoolmates, ran away from home.
Their escape, which began on Tuesday, lasted just over a full day, when the carabinieri tracked them down and brought them back to their parents. La Provincia di Como reported this morning. The escape was discovered by the two fathers in different ways.
The first, returning home on Tuesday at noon, found on his daughter's computer a message of the type "I'm tired of not being able to see my friends, I'm leaving"; the second parent instead was notified directly with a message on Messenger "I want to live, trust me".
The parents first contacted friends and schoolmates but in the afternoon, when they thought the girls would not return, they contacted the Carabinieri of Como and a municipality in the hinterland, where they live. In the end, the friends were in the area of Villa Guardia (Como), where the military found them shortly after.
They said that they intended to go to Milan and perhaps Liguria, but in reality they stayed between Como and Cantù. They also said they spent the night in a public park, although they probably slept at the home of some acquaintances who they did not want to involve.
