DJ Joseph Capriati was stabbed by his father late yesterday evening, during a fight over trivial reasons. Hospitalized, he is in serious condition

"Never give up and believe in your dreams." This is the motto posted on his Facebook page continuously by Joseph Capriati, born Giuseppe, the internationally renowned DJ stabbed in the abdomen late yesterday evening by his father during a trivial family argument and who is hospitalized in Caserta in serious condition.

A thirty-three-year-old DJ and music producer, he had lived in Spain for years but returned to his parents' home in Caserta in early December due to the pandemic and the shutdown of nightlife. In recent months, despite the anti-Covid measures having severely impacted his own industry, the nightclub industry, the young man was experiencing a period of great personal satisfaction; his new album ("Metamorfosi") had recently been released and, as evidenced by his posts on social media, he was very proud of his collaboration with Neapolitan artist James Senese on the single "New Horizons."

Los Angeles, Amsterdam, North America, Argentina, Spain, Capriati from Caserta, where his dream began, had come a long way bringing Campania to the most important stages of electronic/techno music in the world. The 33-year-old had started at just 11 years old in Caserta as a resident DJ at the Seven club with the pseudonym of Prince DJ.

His first album came out in 2010, and since 2012 he's been a resident DJ at Le Grand in Ibiza. He also holds the record for playing music nonstop for 25 hours and 30 minutes in Miami. He was in Caserta on December 15th. His international talent prompted the Campania regional councilor, Lucia Fortini, to do a live video with him on social media last May, titled "Let's Regroup Together."

On that occasion, the thirty-three-year-old shared his story, "I'm a self-made man," but then also spoke with the councilor to try to find common goals to support Campania's talented talents. During this health emergency, he also posted a video in which he appealed to young people in the nightlife scene to take all possible precautions to prevent the spread of the virus "so that we can quickly return to economic and social normality."

His last post dates back to January 2021st, when he posted a photo of his fingers in a victory sign, wishing him "Happy New Year XNUMX to everyone, with the hope of seeing you again soon. Sending lots of love and positive energy." In recent hours, his Facebook page has been flooded with messages from around the world urging him to "hold on."
