50-year-old mother dies of covid at Rummo in Benevento: family members ask for justice.
A complaint has been filed with the Carabinieri to shed light on the incident and determine whether everything was done according to established protocols. The woman, a mother of two girls, died last night at the Rummo Hospital from COVID-19, but her family, through their lawyer Antonio Leone, have filed a complaint with the Carabinieri, requesting that the Prosecutor's Office order an autopsy.
According to an initial reconstruction, the woman, from Benevento, had been admitted to the Fatebenefratelli hospital on December 12 because, suffering from an oncological pathology, she had high blood pressure and needed a series of tests. She had been subjected to a double swab, the result was negative.
The same result was also obtained for the two subsequent swabs taken during her hospital stay, which went on without problems, to the point that the doctors, since her clinical condition had improved in the meantime, decided to discharge her and send her home on December 23, so as to allow her to spend Christmas in the company of her loved ones.
