Naples, pistol hidden in baby's bib seized in Spanish Quarters.
The Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza of Naples found and seized, in the San Ferdinando district, a 7,65 caliber semi-automatic pistol, Stosel model, and related ammunition.
The discovery was made by the financial police of the 2nd Metropolitan Operations Unit, during the public utility service “117”, while walking along Vico Santa Teresella degli Spagnoli.
Despite the late hour, the Guardia di Finanza noticed a rather unusual package on the side of the road: a baby bib containing a pistol with its serial number erased and the related ammunition.
Investigations are underway to verify any links to bloodshed and/or intimidation.
The service operation is part of the constant territorial control activity arranged by the Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza of Naples, and reflects the recent indications of the Prefect of Naples Marco Valentini regarding the need for greater control of the circulation of weapons in the Naples area.
