Bilateral interstitial pneumonia: this is the diagnosis given to Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe, who was admitted to the Cotugno Hospital in Naples yesterday afternoon.
The prelate arrived by ambulance due to a steadily worsening health condition caused by the coronavirus that struck him on January 13th. He was asymptomatic, but as the days passed, his condition worsened, so much so that he needed to be hospitalized yesterday afternoon. His condition is now stable. He is admitted to the ward; neither sub-intensive care nor intensive care was necessary. He has undergone all necessary tests and his condition is being monitored constantly.
