Soccavo: Attempted robbery in jewelry store. The alleged perpetrator identified.
On January 11, a man entered a jewelry store on Via dell'Epomeo and, after examining some jewelry, took out a knife and grabbed a bracelet that was on the counter, ordering the owner to hand over the rest of the merchandise.
The jeweler, after refusing to comply with the robber's demands, told him that he had already activated the alarm system connected to the Police and that he would not open the door unless he returned the bracelet; at that point the criminal gave up his intent and fled.
Thanks to the images from the video surveillance system of the commercial establishment and the descriptions provided by the owner, the Hawks of the Flying Squad and the agents of the San Paolo Police Station tracked down the man and, at his sister's home, found the clothes worn during the crime.
YES, a 36-year-old Neapolitan with a criminal record for property crimes, was arrested by the police for attempted robbery, which was validated by the Judicial Authority yesterday.
