The President of the Campania Region Vincenzo De Luca, dismayed, comments on the request of Letizia Moratti, made explicit in a letter to which Minister Speranza promptly responded
“I read with dismay the statements of Mrs. Moratti in support of a distribution of vaccines linked to the GDP of the different regions. It is hard to believe that the equal right to life of all can be subordinated to economic data.
It seems that we are one step away from barbarism. Mrs. Moratti is an intelligent and civilized person. I hope she will clarify that this was an unconsidered statement, which does not correspond to her beliefs".
