Constant increase in infections in the community of Vairano Patenora, in the Caserta area. In the last period there has been a surge, also due to the mutation of the Covid-19 virus, in particular for the English variant, leading to a rise in numbers both in the municipality of Vairano Patenora and in neighboring towns.
I data and the surge in infections have induced Mayor Bartolomeo Cantelmo to sign a new ordinance, in agreement with the school principals of the G. Marconi Institute and the L. Da Vinci Scientific High School, for the extension of the suspension of in-person teaching in secondary schools.
The measure is based on "the worrying increase in the number of infections among students and teaching staff of the institutes, as well as the infection of one of the drivers of the private buses that transport the students".
Lessons will continue in distance learning until March 14th with the resumption scheduled for March 15th with students expected to return to their desks, barring of course further union extensions or national and regional provisions.
