Kidnapping for extortion purposes of a subject, forced into a car and then driven to an isolated location in Castel Volturno, where he was threatened with a gun and a rope tied around his neck if he did not repay the amount of a previous drug debt.
The Carabinieri have executed in the provinces of Caserta, Campobasso and Vibo Valentia a precautionary prison measure issued by the investigating judge of the Naples court against five suspects, on various counts, for kidnapping for the purpose of extortion and obstruction of justice, crimes aggravated by the mafia method.
Since March of last year, the suspects, asserting the alleged membership of one of them to the Casalesi clan, had attempted to convince, by promising sums of money, the victim and his wife to retract the statements made in relation to a kidnapping for the purpose of extortion committed in Casal di Principe the previous February, for which a precautionary order was previously issued and the trial is underway in the Court of Assizes of Naples against the other suspects; in that case, a man was made to get into a car and then taken to an isolated place in Castel Volturno, and threatened with a gun and a rope tied around his neck to pay off a drug debt.
The activity has allowed to demonstrate that since March 2020 the suspects, asserting the alleged membership of one of them to the "Casalesi Clan", had attempted to convince, by promising sums of money, the victim and his wife to retract the statements made about a kidnapping for the purpose of extortion committed in Casal di Principe in February of the same year, for which a precautionary order was previously issued and the trial is underway before the Court of Assizes of Naples against the other suspects.
The previous incident, to which one of today's suspects directly contributed, concerns the kidnapping for extortion purposes of a subject, who was forced into a car and then taken to an isolated location in Castel Volturno, where he was threatened with a gun and a rope tied around his neck if he did not repay the amount of a previous drug debt.
