The forest rangers of the Roccarainola station checked a marble processing plant in Cimitile.
IThe owner of the company was reported for violations of environmental regulations. A large quantity of dust was dispersed on every surface of the structure and in the external yard. No abatement or extraction system had been installed to prevent the marble dust from undermining the health of employees and residents of neighboring homes.
In the square, instead, there was a central basin where the waste water produced by the marble processing activity flowed into, without purification and decantation systems.
From the tank - the military discovered by following the path of the pipes - the water ended up in the public sewers, in the section designated for rainwater. The plant was seized.
