Yesterday evening, in Castel Volturno, the Carabinieri found and seized, from unknown persons, narcotic substances for a total of 15,644 kilos, divided into 9,387 kilos of marijuana and 6,257 kilos of hashish.
The drugs, divided into blocks, were in bags and in some black envelopes found inside a BMW 3 series car abandoned on the side of the road along via Marotta. The carabinieri are investigating to trace who abandoned the drugs and especially who they were headed to. It is likely that it was a failed handover and that whoever was tasked with recovering the car with the load of drugs arrived late.
