The Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza of Naples has also strengthened this weekend, marked by the concomitant holidays of Valentine's Day and Carnival, the system of territorial controls aimed at monitoring compliance with anti-covid measures.
The presence of the Corps has been strengthened especially in the capital, also following the agreements reached at the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Security, in particular in via Partenope, in piazza Plebiscito, in via Chiaia, in via Toledo, in Calata Trinità Maggiore, Piazza del Gesù, Decumani and in Vomero.
In total, between Friday and Sunday, 2027 people and 297 commercial activities were checked throughout the province, with 51 fines issued overall.
Citizens found on the streets during the curfew or without personal protective equipment or consuming food and drinks inside bars, these are the main violations recorded; and then other illicit situations typically of interest to the Guardia di Finanza, such as gambling, cigarette smuggling, counterfeiting, drug dealing.
More specifically, in the Secondigliano district, during a check at an internet point, the 2nd Metropolitan Operations Unit seized a video slot machine not connected to the computer network, fining the owner for failure to display the game table as well as for anti-Covid violations.
Furthermore, between Sorrento, Saviano, Palma Campania, San Vitaliano and Sant'Antimo, 14 commercial establishments were fined because they did not display signs at the entrance to the premises indicating the maximum number of people allowed to enter at the same time.
In Capri, the owner of a gym plus 2 people were fined, temporary closure ordered.
In Pozzuoli and Casavatore, 3 bars were fined because some customers were not wearing masks or were consuming inside beyond the permitted time.
Furthermore, it is worth highlighting, among the illicit situations under the direct jurisdiction of the Fiamme Gialle, an intervention by the Pozzuoli Company which in Licola seized in a home during an initiative search a bag containing 12 blocks of hashish, for a total of 1,2 kg, 7 vacuum-packed cellophane packages equal to almost 100 grams of cocaine, a scale, a cutter and 1.135 euros in cash. Two perpetrators were arrested, against whom the direct trial will be held today.
The Company of Giugliano in Campania, in Mugnano di Napoli, seized 5,6 kg. of contraband tle from an Italian citizen, reported at large. Finally, the Company of Casalnuovo di Napoli carried out at a warehouse in Somma Vesuviana, the seizure of 3520 carnival costumes without the 'CE' mark from an Italian citizen.
