60% of Campania's Covid cases in the Naples metropolitan area
Sixty percent of Covid-19 infections in Campania since the beginning of the pandemic are concentrated in the metropolitan area of Naples, while almost one in five patients, compared to the regional total, resides in the capital city.
The report of cases divided by province highlights that out of 260.324 infections, 155.747 are those related to the Neapolitan area, 46.475 of which were registered in Naples. Second in the ranking is the province of Caserta (43.223), then Salerno (39.576), Avellino (11.404) and Benevento (6.876). About 3.500 cases are still awaiting verification in relation to residence.
