New cases of Covid-19 on the rise in Italy but percentage of positive swabs drops.
SAccording to the latest bulletin from the Ministry of Health, 24 new positive cases were recorded in the last 13.314 hours compared to 9.630 yesterday. The number of swabs is decreasing, today there were 303.850 against 170.672 yesterday, with a test/positive ratio that drops to 4,3 from 5,6 percent yesterday. There are 356 deaths, an increase compared to yesterday, for a total since the beginning of the pandemic of 96.348. The currently positive cases are 387.948 (+45) with 18.155 hospitalized with symptoms (+145) and 2.146 in intensive care (+28). There are then 12.898 people who have recovered or been discharged.

Compared to yesterday, 130 more swabs were carried out, exactly 303.850 and which brings the positivity index down to 4,3%. The recovered are 12.898, while the current positives, down by 45, stand at 387.948. Bad news on the hospital front: the number of hospitalized patients with symptoms increased by 140, today there are 18.295, and by 28 in intensive care, with 2.146 patients and 197 new admissions. The people in home isolation are 367.507.
Lombardy is the first region in Italy for number of infections: 2.480 new cases were registered in the last 24 hours. This is what emerges from data from the Ministry of Health. Emilia Romagna follows with 1.588 and Campania with 1.436 cases.
