They saved him from extreme action but not from handcuffs.
Armando Fava, 42, originally from San Tammaro, was arrested for escaping house arrest when he went out during the night.
The man was tracked down in via Vivaldi in Caserta shortly after 2 am: they were near the tracks of the level crossing and his actions, probably dictated by a lack of lucidity and a state of psychophysical alteration, even raised fears of an extreme gesture.
Attracted by the screams, the residents decided to contact the police: a patrol of the Carabinieri from the radiomobile operational unit promptly arrived on the scene.
The military rescued him and identified him: however, the check revealed that the 42-year-old should have been under house arrest in his home in San Tammaro. For this reason, he was arrested for evading house arrest pending the direct hearing scheduled for these hours.
