The alleged killer of 17-year-old Romeo B. from Formia, who was stabbed to death this evening during a massive brawl between youths, is under arrest and under guard in hospital.
The victim is a young man from Caserta. He also suffered minor injuries. A 16-year-old friend of the victim is also in the hospital; he is in surgery and is in critical condition. The search is underway for the young man's accomplice. According to initial investigations, the two attackers were riding a scooter. They apparently approached and confronted Romeo B., the 17-year-old killed on Via Vitruvio in Formia. The victim suffered stab wounds that severed his femoral artery. He bled to death within minutes. Police from the Latina Police Headquarters are investigating the case.

Around ten youths are believed to have been involved in the brawl that led to Romeo B.'s murder. According to reports, the 18-year-old, hospitalized for a hand wound, apparently played an active role in the incident. The 16-year-old, a friend of the victim, reportedly suffered more serious injuries.
Police are examining footage from surveillance cameras at the bank on Via Vitruvio in Formia, where the 17-year-old local was stabbed to death.
