"If I were to commit suicide because of everything they say against me, whose fault would it be? No one's, right? Because no one cares. They say the first thing that comes to mind, and if it's later proven otherwise, it doesn't matter."
These shocking comments were written in an Instagram story by Giannina Maradona, daughter of the former Napoli champion, in response to comments made by journalist Sandra Borghi, who, speaking to Canal 13, referred to the former champion's death, saying, "And where were the daughters in all this? Didn't they see what was happening? Where was Giannina?"
Maradona's daughter, who uses social media a lot, like her sister Dalma, responded by alluding to suicide. She then added: "I'm a strong woman, and time will tell how things turned out. I trust in my father, who watches over me from heaven. You keep talking, meanwhile, I'm going to therapy to feel better."
"If I didn't have a son (Benjamin, 11, fathered by footballer Sergio Aguero, ed.), my few friends and my family," Giannina Maradona continued, "with the harassment I receive and the life that has been turned upside down, I would have already committed suicide."
