"While our city reaches a worrying and dangerous peak of Covid19 infections, the Salvati Administration continues to argue about everything, and to deal with everything that does not concern the city. From Scafati Sviluppo to the municipal pharmacies, from the PUC to the industrial areas, from the tax issue to the TARI (PEF) rates, from the transfer of surface rights to the parking for ACSE vehicles, from the closed Villa Comunale to the switched off public lighting, there are dozens of topics and acts blocked, disappeared, forgotten in a drawer.
In the meantime, the President of the City Council promotes an appeal to the TAR of Salerno against the City Council itself and its no-confidence vote. And the Mayor distributes delegations to the councilors in the hope of concluding yet another reshuffle of the Board.
They are only focused on their arguments, their internal wars and the ravenous bulimia of positions and power. Scafati would need a guide, and instead finds himself with Monopoly players. Not even very capable, in truth.
It is time for the Mayor to take stock of this failed experience and resign. Or that, in the absence of this surge of dignity, the many elements of his majority who are aware of the disaster in progress and no longer want to be complicit, put an end to this agony for themselves, and above all for the city.”
