Maikol Arcarisi, with his crystalline timbre and distinctly pop imprint, returns with “Se non hai da fare” (Pako Music Records/Visory records/Thaurus), his new single.
[Press release]
Fresh from the success of his debut album “Illusione d'amore” (2017) and the single “Biancaneve” (2020), the singer-songwriter from Palermo continues his emotional journey with this new song, a manifesto of timeless love, the clear and pure kind, which does not need torment or fanaticism to fill the heart, because it is able to shine with its own boundless light, that of freedom, the freedom to share one's journey with a kindred soul.
“Se non ha dai fare”, written, composed and arranged by the artist himself, is a true poem in music, a succession of words that spring from a heart that was initially wounded and emptied, which has recomposed itself and enriched itself thanks to the strength of love: «I have always walked backwards, with only two feet on one track, until suddenly I saw your smile slip inside me and never escape again».
«A journey that goes deep», «beyond those destinies written to dream and never wake up», a one-way ticket to the Continent of the Heart, an imaginary place, but not so distant from everyday reality, where we hold each other tight, tied by the invisible and indissoluble thread of love, beyond every adversity, every vicissitude – «let's slowly climb on life that for a good percentage is uphill, Never forget the oxygen and the love that do us good» -.
"I wrote this song - says the artist - because like all of us I ended 2020 in a negative way, living very strong experiences that marked me as a person, but at the same time stimulated me to be even more positive and believe with greater intensity in the beauty of life and love".
Living a relationship without impositions, but by choice, a choice that reaches our conscious part passing through everything that we cannot control, but that we can decide to embrace or let go, a choice made with conviction day after day, moment after moment, because it is able to make us complete, serene, because it makes us feel happy, not only of how we are in the company of the other, but also of their own happiness - "I do not have the makings of a champion, but I chose you among a thousand people and this is enough to have my peace, because I win when you are happy" -.
In love, distances don't matter, the outside world doesn't matter, but only that mutual feeling that gives energy and lifeblood, giving us the possibility to glimpse our soul in the soul of the other, making us forget who we are, to discover ourselves different and better in the eyes of those who love us - "for us who have eyes inside the heart and it doesn't matter what the color is, the important thing is to look inside" -.
“Se non hai da fare” is a very modern song with retro values; those timeless values that make everything they touch and permeate current, because there is no time to love and there is no time to demonstrate love.
Maikol Arcarisi he is an Italian singer-songwriter born in 1985. Driven by a strong desire to convey emotions, he approached music at a very young age, supported by his mother, who has always been at the forefront in supporting her son's artistic career. At just 12 years old, Maikol was fascinated by the romantic yet rhythmic music of the 90s, such as that played and interpreted by the Backstreet Boys, who became his main point of reference. Starting in 2005, the first requests for live performances arrived in many clubs in Palermo and the surrounding area, which gave him the opportunity to make his way in the night music scene and to act as an opening act at concerts and shows by nationally renowned artists such as Enrico Ruggeri, Andrea Pucci, Dominique of Lollipop and to follow singers such as Luciana Turina and Daniele Esmeraldi (Amici 8) on tour as a backing vocalist. It was during that period that Maikol began working on his first album and in 2012 he took part in the Rai 1 game show “Un minuto per vincere”, a television format hosted by Max Giusti, which gave him considerable visibility throughout Italy. From 2014 to 2015, Maikol performed in various London venues, such as Gilgamesh and Bunga Bunga, also making himself appreciated by the English public. Back home, he continued to work on his debut album, “Illusione d'amore”, a musical tale, published in 2017, composed of 11 tracks, written by the artist himself, arranged by Daniele Lazzara and recorded at Salvo Perino's Studio, of the positive and negative emotions that a love story can bring about, a narration that is based on his personal experience, within which, every single word and every single song have their reason to exist. But the experience lived by Maikol is the same one in which each of us can identify, find ourselves, because feelings are circular and transversal, because, despite the wonderful diversity that belongs to each of us, we are all made up of soul and heart. The album was followed by auditions for The Voice of Italy (2017), X Factor Italia (2018) and The voice of Germany (2018) and new releases, such as “Non so se amarti” (2019) and “Biancaneve” (2020), releases that allowed the artist not only to reconfirm his talent, but to be followed and supported by professionals in the Italian record industry; first with Red Owl Records and, now, with Pako Music Records, two entities that are very attentive to new talents, both sublabels of Visory Records with Thaurus editions. On February 19, 2021, Maikol released, for Pako Music Records/Visory Records/Thaurus, “Se non hai da fare”, a song dedicated to timeless love, the clear and pure kind, which does not need torments or fanaticism to fill the heart, because it is able to shine with its only boundless light, that of freedom, the freedom to share one's journey with a kindred soul. A very modern song with retro values; those timeless values that make everything they touch and permeate current, because there is no time to love and there is no time to show love.
