Private garages that use the blue lines and driveways to let their customers park. Borrelli attacked and threatened in Santa Lucia. The garage owner apologizes to La Radiazza: "I apologize to the Councilor and to all of Naples"
Private garages that use paid parking spaces, the so-called blue lines, and the public road to park their customers' cars. This is what was denounced by the Regional Councilor of Europa Verde Francesco Emilio Borrelli on February 23 in Naples in via Generale Orsini, Santa Lucia area.
Councilor Borrelli, after having noticed what appeared to be employees of a private garage using the blue lines and driveways to park the cars of the garage's customers, also issuing coupons, was verbally attacked and removed by the aforementioned individuals. At that point the councilor requested the intervention of the Carabinieri who intervened and identified the protagonists of the incident.
The garage owner spoke live on the radio show La Radiazza to clarify the matter: “What I witnessed was an unworthy spectacle for which I felt ashamed and angry, so I would like to apologize not only to Councilor Borrelli for the treatment he suffered but also to the entire city, also because I have always been sensitive to the issue of respect for everyone's rights. The employee's behavior is absolutely unacceptable and shameful, perhaps someone wants to set up their own 'garage' inside the garage. I will check on the issue of coupons.”
"We certainly accept the apologies also because they seem sincere to us even if obviously the complaints will continue. It is clear that many things are not right here and the affair shows that the interventions of the police are effective, so it is always necessary to report the illicit and irregularities. In order to have a better city, however, all citizens need to start having a new mentality and respect the rules" - declared Borrelli and the radio host Gianni Simioli.
