Naples, checks in the market area of Santa Candida. Major seizure of counterfeit goods
This morning, the agents of the Vicaria-Mercato Police Station, the Carabinieri and the Local Police personnel, with the support of the crews of the Campania Crime Prevention Unit and the IV Mobile Unit, carried out an extraordinary territorial control service aimed at combating illegal commercial activity in the market area of Via Santa Candida.
During the activity, many illegal vendors, at the sight of the operators, fled to evade the controls, abandoning the material on sale on the street.
The operators seized approximately 8000 CDs/DVDs, of which 5500 were counterfeit, 5020 items of clothing, shoes and accessories bearing counterfeit brands of well-known “designers” and 56 stands used for the display and sale of the goods.
