The Carabinieri of the Bagnoli station and Operations Unit have arrested Massimo Picone (class 61) and Fabio Esposito (class 79), both from the Fuorigrotta neighborhood and already known to the police, for complicity in extortion.

The owner of the company that had the contract to install an elevator in Picone's apartment building was approached by the two and threatened. If he did not give them 3 thousand euros for the "inconvenience" caused during the work, they would damage the equipment used on site.
The victim did not give in and reported everything to the Carabinieri who organized a stakeout to catch the two red-handedly handing over the sum demanded under blackmail. When the cash was handed over, the military intervened and arrested the two. They are now in prison.
