Novartis signs a partnership for the production of the Pfizer vaccine and will invest 74 million in clinical research in 2021 with 200 clinical studies as part of the 250 million investment plan in innovation over three years.
The pharmaceutical company has created a campaign with various anti-Covid aid activities and has allocated 20 million to the Torre Annunziata plant which is becoming a sustainable and startup development hub. Novartis is continuing its 'Novartis People in Science-Scienza da vivere' program, aimed at scientific literacy, by making the short film 'Reimagine' presented today at Anica: a project that aims to "promote the value of science and the concrete role of the pharmaceutical industry in supporting scientific research - it is explained in a note - and is part of the Novartis People in Science-Scienza da vivere program, aimed at scientific literacy".
“The diffusion of science literacy, especially among young people, is an integral part of the commitment that our company, and the entire pharmaceutical sector, dedicate to the growth of society,” commented Pasquale Frega, country president of Novartis in Italy and CEO of Novartis Farma, underlining that Reimagine “shows how pharmaceutical innovation is very close to the life and most authentic needs of each of us”.
Produced with One More Pictures, it stars Federico Ielapi, Rocío Muñoz Morales, Brenno Placido, Lorenzo Lavia and Clizia Fornasier. “The world of research, and with it also the pharmaceutical companies that are part of it, and public opinion must start talking to each other again, without prejudice; this is one of the great lessons that we have all learned with the experience of the pandemic, and we are at the forefront of promoting this dialogue”, comments Pasquale Frega, Country President of Novartis in Italy and CEO of Novartis Farma. “Recognizing the value of pharmaceutical research – he adds – is a fundamental requirement not only for public health, but for the civil and social growth of the country itself and achieving this goal is a priority for us today. The spread of science literacy, especially among young people, is an integral part of the commitment that our company, and the entire pharmaceutical sector, dedicate to the growth of society. Reimagine, which speaks to the heart as well as the head of the viewer, goes in this direction, showing us how pharmaceutical innovation is very close to life, to feelings, to the most authentic needs of each of us”.
