Pietravairano. The “S- Drop Out” variant has been isolated, affecting a 53-year-old person, previously vaccinated as a paramedic.
The patient is hospitalized in serious conditions in intensive care at Maddaloni hospital.
The mayor of Pietravairano Marianna Di Robbio confirmed this in a video to the citizens in which she announced further containment measures due to the spread of infections among the population. “The situation in the country is very serious – said the mayor – We have had these very widespread infections in some family units connected to each other. We are paying attention and are working with the ASL and the Uopc to try to understand if there are other forms of variants that are currently positive”.
The mayor announces "an ordinance that not only provides for the suspension of in-person teaching activities until March 6 but also the closure of the cemetery, the ban on gatherings and the suspension of the market". In Pietravairano, 40 cases were recorded from February 1 to 23, which are added to 5 previous positives. Two of the positives are hospitalized in intensive care, Mayor Di Robbio also informs.
