The Archaeological Park of Pompeii participates in the World Rare Disease Day, with colored illumination of the facade of the Antiquarium
IFebruary 28, 2021 will be the annual World Rare Disease Day, which closes the week dedicated to raising awareness and knowledge of these little-known but complex diseases and to supporting affected patients and their families.
The Archaeological Park of Pompeii participates and supports the initiative “Let's turn on the lights on rare diseases”, with a symbolic illumination of the facade of the Antiquarium of Pompeii, recently renovated and reopened to the public.
The photos of the lighting will be published on the official website and on the social channels of the Park, the UNIAMO Federation and the cblC Onlus Association. #RareDiseaseDay #UNIAMOleforze
Thanks to the collaboration of the Associations, many monuments in different regions of Italy will light up with the colors of Rare Disease Day. The initiative is promoted by UNIAMO, the Federation of Associations of People with Rare Diseases in Italy, with the mission of improving the quality of life of affected people and their families, conducts advocacy activities for the protection and promotion of rights in the fields of research, bioethics, health and social-welfare policies. This activity is also carried out at European level as the National Alliance of EURORDIS-Rare Disease Europe.
