The 2021 Sorrento Peninsula Award establishes a digital team
Audiovisual, art, tourism and cultural marketing: the digital challenge of the “Penisola Sorrentina” Award.
Unfortunately, the pandemic is still ongoing and continues to revolutionize multiple sectors. A renewed need for technology and innovation is involving multiple areas, and the same cultural bodies and institutions are starting a progressive path of digital transformation, as a lever for the promotion and enhancement of their cultural and territorial heritage.
The “Penisola Sorrentina” Award, a brand of excellence in the artistic and cultural heritage sector, will focus on the enjoyment of culture especially through digitalization for 2021.
“This will allow us to create a more inclusive model, accessible to all and capable of strengthening the sense of belonging to our community, in the hope of being able to achieve, like last year, a hybrid formula between presence and remote”, declares the patron Mario Esposito.
This accessibility is linked to the widespread use of new communication and information technologies, capable of reducing both physical and social distances.
It is precisely in this context that the establishment of a digital team for the 2021 edition of the Award takes place, which will be made up of communication experts, artists, graphic designers and digital engineers.
The 2021 Award recognitions will be dedicated to the world of audiovisual and live entertainment, but the event will still produce exhibitions, events, publications, conferences and much more.
The creation of a “digital team” aims to promote the use of new digital manufacturing technologies as tools for inclusion and support for culture and education in the Campania region and beyond.
Within the digitalization project there will also be a connection with the United States, thanks to the synergy with the ETS Exordium, directed by the Sannio artist Giuseppe Leone.
Participating in this reform and innovation project represents for the 26th edition of the “Penisola Sorrentina Arturo Esposito” Award an enrichment of method and a concrete opportunity to foster “widespread” creativity and innovation, making technological tools, technical skills and hyperspaces dedicated to beauty available to citizens.
