Naples, they throw cocaine in the toilet to escape the handcuffs: 2 pushers caught in the Traiano district
The Carabinieri of the Naples mobile radio unit arrested Vincenzo De Gais (47 years old) and Francesco Pio Salvati (18 years old), both from the Traiano district and already known to the police.
They were surprised by the military in a premises on Via Tertulliano, in lot 33. Having noticed the patrol, they immediately threw some cocaine into the toilet, which was almost entirely lost in the sewer drains.
When the premises were searched, approximately 2,5 grams of cocaine were found that had not yet been dissolved in the waste water, 115 euros in cash believed to be the proceeds of illicit activity, various materials for packaging the doses, a scale and some pieces of paper containing notes on drug dealing activities.
The two were placed under house arrest pending trial and will have to answer for possession of drugs for the purpose of dealing.
